Love Pugs Day at Walkhaven

On the 14th February 2010 Walkhaven hosted their first Valentine’s day in honour of the gorgeous pugs! Helping Hands put together the event in aid of Pug Rescue South Africa to raise the much needed funds for the old, sickly and homeless pugs across South Africa.

What a fantastic turnout this was with around 70 guests being there solely to support the pugs and Pug Rescue.

Pug Rescue arrived with all of their merchandise and HILLS sponsorships in full force. Hills sponsored stunning Valentine’s gifts for all guest as well as treats bags!

The day started out with a bit of scare as it was raining, but by 11am the rain had blown over allowing us to start with our Fancy Dress competition, which was judged by Sharne, who also sponsored the prizes by DOGGEE SNAX for our different categories as well as lots of sample bags which was also donated to Pug Rescue.

A stunning buffet with roasted meats and vegetables was supplied by Walkhaven with a delicious dessert.

Helping Hands had their raffle in full force for their Hypnotist show which will also be in aid of Pug Rescue in May – Prizes for this include a TOM TOM GPS navigation system donated by Randburg Midas and dinner for six at the Boma, Indaba hotel with two complimentary bottles of wine.

Judging was very difficult as there were so many creative little outfits which provided the guests with lots of Pug Eye Candy!

What a fun filled day, and everyone went home with gifts and memories that will last a life time! Thank you to everyone who supported us and making this day as special as it was.
